ALBANY, Calif. (June 11, 2020) – Multiple stakes winner Bettor Trip Nick and fellow California-breds Darn Quick and Indian Peak are entered in Saturday’s $75,000 Alcatraz Stakes for 3-year-olds at Golden Gate.
Bettor Trip Nick is by Boat Trip, out of the In Excess mare Bettor Knot, was bred by Running Horse Equine Training Center, is owned by William Delia, Gary Oetman or Ray Pagano and is trained by Delia. He has four wins in seven starts, earnings of $141,180 and is coming off a fourth in the May 16 Echo Eddie.
Darn Quick is by Run Brother Ron, out of the Forest Camp mare Darncat, was bred by owner Clifford Plum and is trained by Allen Rogers. He has three wins in five starts, earnings of $73,090 and is coming off an eighth in a May 17 optional claimer.
Indian Peak is by Comic Strip, out of the Roar mare Ms. Booty, was bred by owners Dr. and Mrs. William Gray and is trained by Quinn Howey. He has three wins in nine starts, earnings of $114,100 and is coming off a second in a May 23 optional claimer.
