DEL MAR, Calif. (Nov. 23, 2014) – Graded stakes winner Big Bane Theory and fellow California-bred stakes winner Boozer are entered in Friday’s $250,000 Grade II Seabiscuit Handicap at Del Mar.
Big Bane Theory is by Artie Schiller, out of the Alysheba mare Shebane, was bred by owners Scott Gross and Mark Devereaux and is trained by Carla Gaines. He has four wins in 12 starts, earnings of $360,640 and is coming off a fifth in the Oct. 31 Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile.
Boozer is by Unusual Heat, out of the Cape Canaveral mare Kitty and Boo, was bred by B. Abrams, V. Loverso, C. Perez, Huston Racing and M. Auerbach, is owned by Al and Saundra Kirkwood and trained by Mark Glatt. He has five wins in 12 starts, earnings of $292,672 and is coming off a win in the Oct. 18 California Flag.
