EDMONTON, Canada (July 18, 2015) – Odds-on favorite win machine Blue Dancer, a Kentucky-bred son of California stallion Bluegrass Cat, cruised to an easy win in Saturday’s $50,000 Count Lathum Handicap for 3-year-olds at Northlands Park.
Blue Dancer is out of the Saint Ballado mare Two Halos and ran the 1 1/16 miles in 1:44.15 and won by 8 ¼ lengths at odds of 1-2 in the field of seven.
He has seven wins in eight starts, earnings of $172,217 and was coming off a win in the June 20 Ky Alta Handicap. His only loss was a 10th in last year’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.
