CYPRESS, Calif. (Dec. 3, 2020) – Stakes winner Blue Diva and fellow California-bred Donut Girl are entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Grade III Bayakoa Stakes for fillies and mares at Los Alamitos.
Blue Diva is by Bluegrass Cat, out of the Quiet American mare Farmers Wife, was bred by BKB Stables, is owned by Frankly Speaking and trained by Isidro Tamayo. She has seven wins in 24 starts, earnings of $219,861 and is coming off a third in an Oct. 16 allowance.
Donut Girl is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Any Given Saturday mare Saturday’s Girl, was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds, is owned by Cunningham Thoroughbreds and trained by Brian Cunningham. She has five wins in 26 starts, earnings of $220,662 and is coming off a Nov. 6 optional claiming win.
