DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 21, 2015) – California breeder Lou Neve bred three winners at California tracks on Friday.
Chief of Staff won the fifth race, an optional claimer, at Del Mar. Olympic Lady broke her maiden at Del Mar. And Fortyninergameplan broke her maiden at Ferndale.
Chief of Staff is a 3-year-old colt by Majestic Warrior, out of the Awesome Again mare Morning Jewel, is owned by Mark DeDomenico and trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. He ran the mile in 1:36.32 and won by 6 ½ lengths as the even-money favorite.
Olympic Lady is a 3-year-old filly by Fusaichi Pegasus, out of the Touch Gold mare Daylight Song, is owned by Juan Garcia and trained by Victor Garcia. She ran the mile in 1:39.12 and won by 7 ¼ lengths as the 2-1 favorite.
Fortyninergameplan is a 6-year-old mare by Game Plan, out of the Forty Niner mare Golden Chatter, is owned by Bruce Dillenbeck and Jody Hansell and is trained by Dillenbeck. The Northern California Yearling Sale purchase ran the five furlongs in 1:01.81 and won by a nose at odds of 9-1.
