DEL MAR, Calif. (Oct. 21, 2021) – The $175,000 Golden State Juvenile Fillies, presented by PNC, has drawn 15 nominations for the race, to be run on the undercard of the Breeders’ Cup program Friday, Nov. 5, at Del Mar.
The race, restricted to Golden State Series-eligible 2-year-old fillies, will be run at seven furlongs. Entries close Monday, Nov. 1. First post for the 10-race card is 11:55 a.m. PT with the Golden State Juvenile Fillies expected to be one of the first five races run.
The only multiple winner and stakes winner among the nominees is At the Spa, winner of the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association Stakes at Del Mar on Aug. 5. At the Spa is by Outwork, out of the Smoke Glacken mare Spa Creek, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Lovingier, Beckerle or Carrillo and is trained by Walther Solis. She has three wins in four starts with earnings of $165,080.
