DEL MAR, Calif. (Oct. 25, 2021) – The $175,000 Golden State Juvenile has drawn 19 nominations for the race, to be run on the undercard of the Breeders’ Cup Future Stars Friday program, Nov. 5, at Del Mar.
The race, restricted to Golden State Series-eligible 2-year-olds, will be run at seven furlongs. Entries close Monday, Nov. 1. First post for the 10-race card will be 11:55 a.m. PT, with the Golden State Juvenile expected to be one of the first five races run.
Among the nominations are multiple stakes winner Thirsty Always and stakes winners Joker Boy and Rock N Rye. Thirsty Always and Rock N Rye are by Stay Thirsty and were bred by Terry Lovingier. Joker Boy is by Practical Joke and was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds.
