ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 28, 2022) – California-breds Smuggler’s Run and Franklin One Star are entered in Sunday’s $75,000 Baffle Stakes for 3-year-olds at Santa Anita.
Smuggler’s Run is by Straight Fire, out of the Kitten’s Joy mare Maddie’s Odyssey, was bred by owner KMN Racing and is trained by Richard Baltas. He won his lone start Jan. 1 with earnings of $40,200.
Franklin One Star is by Danzing Candy, out of the Tribal Rule mare Public House, was bred by William Kerr and Jared Kerr, is owned by Boat Racing, Dube or Strauss, et al and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He won his lone start Dec. 3 with earnings of $31,200.
