Cal-bred Pair Enters KLAQ Handicap

SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (Dec. 22, 2024) – California-breds Tizlightning and Bart Sip Some are entered in the $65,000 KLAQ Handicap at Sunland Park on Jan. 3.

Tizlightning is by Stanford, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Tizadream, was bred by Lori Gallegos, is owned by Battle Born Racing Stable and is trained by Jesus Uranga. He has four wins in 10 starts, earnings of $101,316 and is coming off a win in a Sept. 22 starter’s allowance.

Bart Sip Some is by Stay Thirsty, out of the Mineshaft mare Sally Simpson, was bred by KM Racing Enterprises, is owned by Hugo Holguin and trained by Terri Rust. He has three wins in eight starts, earnings of $65,745 and is coming off a fifth in a Dec. 18 optional claimer.
