DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 30, 2026) – California-breds Catalina Cocktail and Lavender Love seek their first stakes win in Saturday’s $100,000 Tranquility Lake Stakes at Del Mar.
Catalina Cocktail is by Catalina Cruiser, out of the Candy Ride mare Giant Screen, was bred by Fountain of Youth Breeding, is owned by Alan Mindell and trained by John Sadler. She has four wins in 19 starts, earnings of $83,380 and is coming off a fifth in the Aug. 16 Rancho Bernardo.
Lavender Love is by Grazen, out of the Touch Gold mare Lavender Touch, was bred by Gilman Racing & Nat Rubinfeld, is owned by Calvin Nguyen and Joey Tran and is trained by Richard Baltas. She has four wins in nine starts, earnings of $195,672 and is returning after stumbling and being pulled up in the May 30 Santa Margarita Stakes.
