CYPRESS, Calif. (July 1, 2014) – Graded-stakes placed Huntsville and fellow California-bred Magic Mark are entered in Friday’s $75,000 American Flag Stakes at Los Alamitos.
Huntsville is by Unusual Heat, out of the Jade Hunter mare Lethal Hunter, was bred by David Abrams and Madeline Auerbach, is owned by Auerbach and Barry Abrams and is trained by Barry Abrams. He has three wins in 39 starts, earnings of $297,021 and is making his first start since a seventh in a Feb. 14 optional claimer.
Magic Mark is by Benchmark, out of the Deputy Governor mare Jewel Magic, was bred by owners Dorine and John Lanza and is trained by Ron Ellis. He has four wins in six starts, earnings of $161,860 and is coming off a two consecutive optional claiming wins.
