SANTA ROSA, Calif. (Aug. 3, 2022) — California-breds Misty Cat and Reiwa are entered in Saturday’s $75,000 Luther Burbank Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Rosa.
Misty Cat is by Bluegrass Cat, out of the Bob and John mare Play Misty for Us, was bred by BKB Stables and is owned by Daniel Franko. She has three wins in 31 starts, earnings of $125,360 and is coming off a third in a July 24 optional claimer.
Reiwa is by James Street, out of the Utopia mare Oh Molly Brannigan, was bred by owner Willow Tree Farm and is trained by Jonathan Wong. She has four wins in 24 starts, earnings of $166,098 and is coming off a ninth in the June 25 She’s a Tiger.
