ALBANY, Calif. (Dec. 7, 2016) – California-breds Mon Petite and Lucy in Diamonds are entered in Saturday’s $50,000 Miss America Stakes for fillies and mares at Golden Gate.
Mon Petite is by Papa Clem, out of the Jeune Homme mare Avranches, was bred by Barry Abrams, Madeline Auerbach and Marie Goda, is owned by G C C I and trained by Cliff DeLima. She has seven wins in 36 starts, earnings of $227,067 and is coming off consecutive allowance wins.
Lucy in Diamonds is by Rock Hard Ten, out of the Relaunch mare Spritz, was bred by Al Graziani and Joe Russell, is owned by Graziani or Park or Russell and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. She has three wins in 19 starts, earnings of $119,478 and is coming off a fourth in an Oct. 28 optional claimer.
