Cal-bred Pair in Riley Allison

SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (Jan. 22, 2017) – California-breds Ranger Rod and Yo La Tengo are entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Riley Allison Stakes for 3-year-olds at Sunland Park.

Ranger Rod is by Chattahoochie War, out of the Malibu Moon mare Night Teller, was bred by owner Gallegos Del Norte and is trained by Jose Gonzalez. He has one win in five starts, earnings of $12,808 and is coming off a fourth in a Jan. 10 allowance.

Yo La Tengo is by Sundarban, out of the Formal Gold mare Ruby Slippers, was bred by Hat Ranch West and George Schmitt, is owned by Bill Tomasic, Go-To-Toga Racing and A and A Equine and is trained by Justin Evans. He has one win in two starts, earnings of $15,494 and is coming off a second in a Jan. 10 allowance.
