PHOENIX, Az. (Feb. 16, 2015) – California-breds Best Asset and General Dixie are entered in Saturday’s $75,000 Turf Paradise Derby for 3-year-olds.
Best Asset is by Never Shamed, out of the Crimson Slew mare Crimson Cricket, was bred by Dick and Peggy Hopwood, is owned by Peggy Hopwood and is trained by Dan McFarlane. He has one win in nine starts, earnings of $39,586 and is coming off a second in the Feb. 4 Chuck N Luck Stakes.
General Dixie is by Dixie Chatter, out of the General Meeting mare Song of Summer, was bred by Ballena Vista Farm, is owned by Richard Rennie and Eugene Burns and is trained by Burns. He has one win in four starts, earnings of $4,755 and is coming off a Feb. 6 maiden win.
