Cal-bred Trio Enters Gottstein Futurity

AUBURN, Wash. (Sept. 3, 2025) – California-breds Lead the Charge, Wreckless Rhett and Tapbyangels are entered in Saturday’s $50,000 Gottstein Futurity for 2-year-olds at Emerald Downs.

Lead the Charge is by Take Charge Indy, out of the Harbor the Gold mare Bella Mia, was bred by Mr. & Mrs. William Griffin, is owned by Maryanski, John, Maryanski, Janene, Schneider, Gerald E. and Schneider, Gail and trained by Blaine Wright. He is a maiden making her fourth start with earnings of $17,645.

Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Wreckless Rhett is by Cat Burglar, out of the Violence mare Fracas, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Les Hunsucker and trained by Victor Trujillo. The $4,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale Barton Thoroughbreds consignment has one win in three starts, earnings of $14,080 and is coming off an Aug. 16 maiden claiming win.

Tapbyangels is by Tap Back, out of the Stormy Atlantic mare Winning Sis, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Circle T Racing and Steve Haahr and trained by Scott Tubbs. He has one win in two starts, earnings of $12,240 and is coming off an Aug. 1 maiden claiming win.
