Cal-bred Trio in Runhappy Oceanside

DEL MAR, Calif. (July 7, 2020) – Stakes winner El Tigre Terrible and fellow California-breds Rookie Mistake and Margot’s Boy are entered in Friday’s $100,000 Runhappy Oceanside Stakes for 3-year-olds at Del Mar.

El Tigre Terrible is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Gotham City mare King City Kitty, was bred by Martin Bach, is owned by Slam Dunk Racing or Nentwig and is trained by Peter Miller. He has three wins in six starts, earnings of $138,760 and is coming off a second in the June 6 Desert Code.

Rookie Mistake is by Square Eddie, out of the General Meeting mare Meetmeinthewoods, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has two wins in nine starts, earnings of $133,098 and is coming off a fifth in the June 6 Desert Code.

Margot’s Boy is by Clubhouse Ride, out of the Creachadoir mare Margot Machance, was bred by owner Alfred Pais and is trained by Craig Lewis. He has three wins in five starts, earnings of $126,020 and is coming off a third in the June 20 Snow Chief.
