DEL MAR, Calif. (Oct. 25, 2017) – California-breds Richard’s Boy, Skye Diamonds and B Squared were pre-entered on Wednesday for the Breeders’ Cup, to be held Friday and Saturday Nov. 3 and 4 at Del Mar.
Richard’s Boy was pre-entered for the $1 million Grade I Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint. He is by Idiot Proof, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Marissa’s Joy, was bred by Harold and Pamela Tillema, is owned by Rockingham Ranch and trained by Peter Miller. He has nine wins in 26 starts, earnings of $678,440 and is coming off a second in the Oct. 21 California Flag.
Skye Diamonds was pre-entered for the $1 million Grade I Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint. She is by First Dude, out of the Johannesburg mare Exonerated, was bred by Dizney Double Diamond, is owned by Acker, Allen Racing & Bloom Racing and trained by William Spawr. She has nine wins in 16 starts, earnings of $489,150 and is coming off consecutive graded stakes wins.
B Squared was double pre-entered for the $1.5 million Breeders’ Cup Sprint and the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint, with first preference the Turf Sprint. He is by Square Eddie, out of the Ten Most Wanted mare Silar Rules, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has three wins in nine starts, earnings of $243,753 and is coming off a win in the Oct. 21 California Flag.
