- SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (Dec. 21, 2025) – Graded stakes-place Positivity and fellow California-breds Tizlightning and Sawasdee are entered in the $65,000 KLAQ Handicap on Jan. 4 at Sunland Park.
Positivity is by Paynter, out of the City Zip mare Sam’s Sunny City, was bred by Allen Farm, is owned by Rakoczy Racing and trained by Justin Evans. He has eight wins in 35 starts, earnings of $583,394 and is coming off a second in a Dec. 3 optional claimer.
Tizlightning is by Stanford, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Tizadream, was bred by Lori Gallegos, is owned by Battle Born Racing Stable and trained by Dick Cappellucci. He has five wins in 15 starts, earnings of $142,811 and is making his first start since a sixth in a July 12 allowance. He was third in this race last January.
Sawasdee is by Desert Code, out of the Congaree mare Scary Fast, was bred by Harris Farms, is owned by Kane Kachur and trained by Isaiah Ortiz. He has nine wins in 38 starts, earnings of $316,613 and is coming off a win in a Dec. 2 optional claimer.
