LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 24, 2018) — California-breds Miss Sunset, Skye Diamonds, Richard’s Boy and B Squared have been pre-entered for Breeders’ Cup race to be held at Churchill Downs on Nov. 3.
Miss Sunset and Skye Diamonds have been pre-entered for the $1 million Grade I Filly & Mare Sprint at seven furlongs, to be run as the third race on Saturday Nov. 3.
Miss Sunset is by Into Mishief, out of the Trippi mare Tuscan Sunset, was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds and Alan Klein, is owned by Klein and Philip Lebherz and trained by Jeff Bonde. The Grade II winner has 10 wins in 19 starts, earnings of $891,895 and is coming off a fourth in the Oct. 6 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes.
Multiple graded winner Skye Diamonds is by First Dude, out of the Johannesburg mare Exonerated, was bred by Dizney Double Diamond, is owned by Allen Racing, Bloom Racing Stable, Acker, Lindo, et al and is trained by Bill Spawr. She has 10 wins in 23 starts, earnings of $690,150 and is coming off a win in the Oct. 7 L.A. Woman.
Richard’s Boy and B Squared are pre-entered in the $1 million Grade I Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint at 5 ½ furlongs, to be run as the fourth race on Saturday Nov. 3
Richard’s Boy is by Idiot Proof, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Marissa’s Boy, was bred by Harold and Pamela Tillema, is owned by Rockingham Ranch and trained by Peter Miller. He has nine wins in 33 starts, earnings of $933,055 and is coming off a second in the Oct. 20 California Flag. He was second in this race last year.
B Squared is an also-eligible. He is by Square Eddie, out of the Ten Most Wanted mare Silar Rules, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has four wins in 21 starts, earnings of $429,948 and is coming off a second in the Sept. 8 E.B. Johnston.
B Squared is an also-eligible pre-entry for the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Sprint, to be run at six furlongs as the seventh race on Saturday, Nov. 3.
