ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2016) – Grade II winner Cheekaboo and fellow California-bred Nine Point Nine are entered in Saturday’s $70,000 Unzip Me Stakes for 3-year-old fillies in Santa Anita.
Nine Point Nine is by Tribal Rule, out of the Cahill Road mare Cielo Dulce, was bred by Stormy Hull and Ginger Samples, is owned by Holly & David Wilson and is trained by Vladimir Cerin. She has four wins in 16 starts, earnings of $156,300 and is coming off a fourth in the Aug. 28 Torrey Pines.
Cheekaboo is by Unusual Heat, out of the Souvenir Copy mare Sandy Cheeks, was bred by Madeline Auerbach, Richard Rosenberg & Barry Abrams, is owned by Alesia, Burns or Ciaglia Racing and is trained by Peter Eurton. She has three wins in 10 starts, earnings of $296,441 and is coming off an eighth in the Aug. 20 Del Mar Oaks.
