ALBANY, Calif. (May 1, 2016) – Cheekaboo, far behind early, rallied wide in the stretch to win Sunday’s $101,125 Campanile Stakes for Golden State Series eligible 3-year-old fillies at Golden Gate.

She has two wins in six starts, earnings of $137,680 and was coming off a fifth in a Mar. 17 allowance.
She ran the mile on turf in 1:38.19 and won by one length at odds of 4-1 in the field of 11. How Unusual finished second and The Spiral Jetter was moved up to third when Patriotic Diamond was disqualified from third and placed sixth.
