SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Mar. 7, 2018) – The regular meeting of the California Horse Racing Board scheduled for Thursday, Mar. 22, 2018, at Golden Gate Fields, has been canceled. The next meeting of the Board is scheduled for Thursday, Apr. 19, 2018, at Santa Anita.
A meeting of the CHRB Special Committee on Northern California Racing will be held on Thursday, Mar. 22, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. in the Bayview Lounge (Turf Club) at Golden Gate Fields. Non-committee Board members attending the committee meeting may not participate in the public discussion, official committee vote, or committee closed session.
The agenda of the committee meeting will consist of the following matters:
- Discussion regarding a report and update from the Pacific Racing Association (Golden Gate Fields) and the Northern California Stabling and Vanning Committee on the projected availability of stalls at Golden Gate Fields through the remainder of its race meeting and the projected availability of stalls for off-site stabling and training during the 2018 summer fair circuit.
- Discussion regarding a report and update from the Pacific Racing Association (Golden Gate Fields), the Thoroughbred Owners of California, and the California Association of Racing Fairs (CARF) on organizational changes to Northern California Off-Track Wagering Inc. (NCOTWINC) and projected changes, if any, to the operation of satellite wagering in Northern California.
