PLEASONTON, Calif. (June 29, 2024) — California-bred odds-on favorite Clovisconnection took command at the eighth pole and drew off to win Saturday’s $66,250 Oak Tree Sprint Stakes at the Alameda County Fair.
Clovisconnection is by Vronsky, out of the Perfect Mandate mare La Darling, was bred by owners William and Judy Hedrick and is trained by Blaine Wright.
He has nine wins in 14 starts, earnings of $320,559 and was coming off May 26 optional claiming win.
Clovisconnection ran the six furlongs in 1:10.35 and won by 2 1/4 lengths at odds of 3-5. Fellow Cal-breds Talbot Way and Lmlooknformischief were second and third in the field of five.
