ALBANY, Calif. (May 1, 2016) – California stallion Coil was represented by his first winner when the 2-year-old filly Recoiling, his first foal to race, won Sunday’s third race at Golden Gate, a maiden special weight, at first asking.
Recoiling is out of the Pentelicus mare Chanceofalifetime, was bred by Martin Bach, is owned by Bach, Lynn Gitomer and Daniel Weiner and is trained by William Morey.
Recoiling ran the 4 ½ furlongs in 52.29 and won by 1 ¾ lengths at odds of 2-1 in a field of eight.
Coil, a son of Point Given, stands at Magali Farms.
