Compact Field for Campanile

ALBANY, Calif. (June 5, 2014) – All five entrants will be seeking their first stakes win in Sunday’s 100,000 Campanile Stakes for Golden State Series eligible 3-year-old fillies at Golden Gate.

Versye is by Square Eddie, out of the Jade Hunter mare Sarah Jade, was bred by owner J. Paul Reddam and is trained by Doug O’Neill. She has one win in three starts, earnings of $34,050 and is coming off a sixth in a May. 22 optional claimer.

Shakeitupbetty is by Ghostzapper, out of the Is It True mare Ring True, was bred by Thomas Bachman, is owned by Seltzer Thoroughbreds and trained by J. Eric Kruljac. She has two wins in five starts, earnings of $91,720 and is coming off a win in a May 1 optional claimer.

Chati’s On Top is by Old Topper, out of the Globalize mare Chati Valley, was bred by Bill Delia, H.C. Martin and Ray Pagano, is owned by Little Red Feather Racing and Marcia Naify and is trained by Mike Puype. She has one win in four starts, earnings of $42,900 and is coming off a second in a May 10 allowance.

Magic Spot is by Papa Clem, out of the Generous mare Sweet Spot, was bred by Royalty Stables and BG Stables, is owned by BG Stables and Hector Palma and is trained by Palma. She has three wins in seven starts, earnings of $122,060 and is coming off a win in a May 24 optional claimer.

Global Rule is by Globalize, out of the Tribal Rule mare Lighten Up Rule, was bred by owners Jerry Hollendorf and George Todaro and is trained by Hollendorfer. She has one win in five starts, earnings of $39,884 and is coming off a May 23 maiden win.
