DEL MAR, Calif. (July 24, 2024) – Multiple stakes winner Connie Swingle is joined by fellow California-brds Doris Mae and Stay and Scam in Saturday’s $100,000 Daisycutter Handicap for fillies and mares at Del Mar.
Connie Swingle is by Grazen out of the Sky Mesa mare Sky Marni, was bred by owner Nick Alexander and is trained by Phil D’Amato. She has six wins in 10 starts, earnings of $431,564 and is making her first start since a second in the Oct. 29 Senator Ken Maddy Stakes.
Doris Mae is by Dads Caps, out of the Western Fame mare Tizalovelylady, was bred by owner Richard Barton Enterprises and is trained by Carla Gaines. She has four wins in nine starts, earnings of $197,024 and is coming off a fifth in a July 27 optional claimer.
Stay and Scam is by Square Eddie, out of the Momentum mare Puff Pastry, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. She has six wins in 13 starts, earnings of $382,760 and is coming off a win in the May 25 Fran’s Valentine.
