ALBANY, Calif. (Dec. 9, 2021) – Multiple stakes winner Cordiality, 2019 winner of the race Blue Diva and fellow California-bred Reiwa are entered in Sunday’s $50,000 Miss America Stakes for fillies and mares at Golden Gate.
Cordiality is by Papa Clem, out of the Unusual Heat mare Warmth, was bred by Dr. Edward Allred, is owned by Donnie Crevier and trained by Tim Yakteen. She has 12 wins in 35 starts, earnings of $633,363 and is coming off a sixth in a Nov. 25 optional claimer.
Blue Diva is by Bluegrass Cat, out of the Quiet American mare Farmers Wife, was bred by BKB Stables, is owned by Frankly Speaking and is trained by Isidro Tamayo. She has seven wins in 31 starts, earnings of $247,505 and is coming off a fourth in a Nov. 25 optional claimer. She won this race in 2019.
Reiwa is by James Street, out of the Utopia mare Oh Molly Brannigan, was bred by owner Willow Tree Farm and is trained by Jonathan Wong. She has four wins in 17 starts, earnings of $148,364 and is coming off back-to-back allowance wins.
