ARCADIA, Calif. (June 8, 2015) – The California Thoroughbred Breeders Association is launching a streamlined registration process that eliminates the need to send the original Jockey Club Certificate to the CTBA to complete the Cal-bred or Cal-Sired registration.
Beginning immediately, once the Cal-bred or Cal-Sired application and fee are submitted to the CTBA, and a certificate has been issued by The Jockey Club, the CTBA will be notified by the Jockey Club and will send to the person or farm submitting the application a sticker to be affixed to the Jockey Club Certificate verifying the Cal-bred or Cal-Sired registration.
The sticker will be similar to ones used for annual vehicle registration by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Certificates that were already processed by the CTBA and returned to applicants will not need or receive a sticker.
For further information, contact Mary Ellen at CTBA, 626-445-7800, ext. 236 or Dawn Gerber, ext. 237.
