DEL MAR, Calif. (July 16, 2014) – Stakes winners Dancingtothestars and Warren’s Veneda and fellow California-bred Spring Bloom are entered in Saturday’s $90,000 Osunitas Stakes for fillies and mares at Del Mar.
Dancingtothestars is by Good Journey, out of the In Excess mare A Lil Excess, was bred by owner Ren-Mar Thoroughbreds and is trained by Doug O’Neill. She has seven wins in 24 starts, earnings of $477,122 and is coming off a fifth in the June 28 Royal Heroine.
Spring Bloom is by After Market, out of the Bertrando mare Spring Festival, was bred by Pam & Marty Wygod, is owned by RG Racing Stable and is trained by Rafael Becerra. She has four wins in 16 starts, earnings of $210,140 and is coming off a fourth in a June 5 optional claimer.
Warren’s Veneda is an also-eligible by Affirmative, out of the flying Continental mare More Cal Bread, was bred by owner Benjamin Warren and is trained by Craig Lewis. She has five wins in 14 starts, earnings of $327,142 and is coming off a fourth in the June 15 Desert Stormer.
