DEL MAR, Calif. (July 27, 2022) – Stakes winners Desmond Doss and Principe Carlo and fellow California-bred Letsgetlucky are entered in Saturday’s $400,000 Grade I Bing Crosby Stakes at Del Mar.
Desmond Doss is by Grazen, out of the Malek mare O’Maley Girl, was bred by owner Nick Alexander and is trained by Steve Miyadi. He has seven wins in 19 starts, earnings of $422,341 and is coming off a back-to-back stakes wins.
Principe Carlo is by Coil, out of the Rahy mare Princess Ezra, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by David Bernsen, Mia Familia Racing Stable or Rockingham Ranch and is trained by Librado Barocio. He has eight wins in 26 starts, earnings of $485,343 and is coming off a second in the May 29 Triple Bend.
Letsgetlucky is by Munnings, out of the Cindago mare My Cinsation, was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds, is owned by Brown, Klein or Lebherz and trained by Brian Koriner. He has three wins in 10 starts, earnings of $305,272 and is coming off a second in the Apr. 16 Count Fleet Stakes.
