ARCADIA, Calif. (June 12, 2014) – Doinghardtimeagain returns from a 10-month layoff to face and fellow California-breds Warren’s Veneda and Sagebrush Queen in Sunday’s $75,000 Desert Stormer Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.
Doinghardtimeagain is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Conquistador Cielo mare Silve Hawk Lady, was bred by owner Tommy Town Thoroughbreds and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. She has five wins in 11 starts, earnings of $586,740 and is making her first start since a ninth in the Aug. 17 Del Mar Oaks.
Warren’s Veneda is by Affirmative, out of the Flying Continental mare More Cal Bread, was bred by owner Benjamin Warren and is trained by Craig Lewis. She has five wins in 13 starts, earnings of $321,064 and is coming off a fourth in the May 18 Adoration.
Sagebrush Queen is by Unbridled Energy, out of the Tough Knight mare Nite Moon, was bred by Oak Hill Farm, is owned by Larry Konecne and Sandi Mattei and is trained by Jorge Gutierrez. She has three wins in eight starts, earnings of $128,990 and is coming off a win in a May 30 optional claimer.
