CYPRESS, Calif. (July 5, 2022) –Three stakes worth a guaranteed $225,000 will be run during the upcoming Autumn Festival at Los Alamitos, including the $75,000 E.B. Johnston at one mile for Cal-breds on Saturday, Sept. 17.
The seven-day meet is scheduled to begin Friday, Sept. 16 and continue through Sunday, Sept. 25. Racing will be conducted Friday-Sunday (Sept. 16-18) the first week and Thursday-Sunday (Sept. 22-25) the final week. Post time will be 1 p.m.
The remaining pair of stakes will be offered the final weekend of the meet. Older horses will compete in the $75,000 Los Alamitos Special at 1 1/16 miles Saturday, Sept. 24 and the closing day program Sunday, Sept. 25 will be headlined by the $75,000-guaranteed Capote for 2-year-olds at 6 ½ furlongs.
