ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 16, 2016) — The board of directors of the Thoroughbred Owners of California voted to appoint Gary Fenton to fill a vacancy on the board created by the recent resignation of Billy Morey.
Fenton, who began his career as an entertainment attorney, is currently the managing partner of Little Red Feather Racing, one of California’s leading owners. Little Red Feather partnership group has syndicated more than 150 horses and brought hundreds of new owners into the sport. In 2016, it launched the industry’s first ever Equity Crowdfunding campaign in an effort to give the avid fan/prospective owner a chance to invest in horse ownership for the first time.
Fenton lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Katie, and two sons.
“We are pleased to welcome Gary as a board member,” said TOC president Greg Avioli. “His involvement and experience in the racing business will provide a unique perspective to the board.”
