Five Cal-breds Enter Barretts Juvenile

CYPRESS, Calif. (Sept. 17, 2015) – Five California-breds are among the entries for Sunday’s $100,000 Barretts Juvenile for 2-year-olds at Los Alamitos.

Zorro’s Storm is by Marino Marini, out of the Restless Con mare Restless Appeal, was bred by Dana Rocheford, Barbara Corey and Rancho San Miguel, is owned by Via Encanto Farms and trained by Jorge Periban. He is a maiden making his second start with earnings of $250.

Viviendo El Sueno is by Old Topper, out of the Petionville mareDreaming of Janet, was bred by Kevin Zietz, is owned by Z Racing and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. He has one win in three starts, earnings of $57,600 and is coming off a third in the Sept. 4 I’m Smokin.

Gio Mio is by Gio Ponti, out of the Is It True mare Ring True, was bred by Thomas Bachman, is owned by Bachman or Brown or Rocking Horse Ranch Stables et al and is trained by Art Sherman. He is a maiden making his second start with earnings of $14,000.

Scatastic is by Scat Daddy, out of the Exchange Rate mare Encanto Park, was bred by Carliwood Farms, is owned by Branch, Huson or Osborne, et al and is trained by John Brocklebank. He is a maiden making his sixth start with earnings of $39,850.

Tribal Roar is by Tribal Rule, out of the Roar mare Wild Tickle, was bred by Cole Ranch, is owned by Gourman or Huson or Osborne and is trained by John Brocklebank. He has one win in three starts, earnings of $19,100 and is coming off a Sept. 2 maiden claiming win.
