DEL MAR, Calif. (Sept. 5, 2024) – A quartet of California-breds is entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Grade III Del Mar Juvenile Turf Stakes for 2-year-olds.
Run for Kidder is by Stay Thirsty, out of the Unusual Heat mare Winemenow, was bred by Mike Ryan, is owned by Firsthome Thoroughbreds, Anschel, Harold, Barnhart, Nancy and Ryan, Michael John and trained by Adam Kitchingman. He has one win in two starts, earnings of $53,200 and is coming off an Aug. 9 maiden win.
Johnson’s Magic is by Mr. Big, out of the Malibu Moon mare Keep the Magic, was bred by George Krikorian, is owned by Legacy Ranch and trained by John Sadler. He is a maiden making his second start with earnings of $15,000.
Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Panuco is an also-eligible by Stanford, out of the Lucky Pulpit mare Swiftly Risen, was bred by Michael Allen, is owned by Tricar Stables and trained by Jorge Periban. The $15,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has one win in three starts, earnings of $16,600 and is coming off a July 4 maiden win.
