FRESNO, Calif. (Oct. 14, 2016) – Defending champion G.G. Ryder and fellow California-breds Touched by Autism and He’s a Pepper are entered in Sunday’s $50,000 Bull Dog Handicap at Fresno.
Touched by Autism is by Sierra Sunset, out of the Beau Genius mare Beau’s Gem, was bred by George and Mary Clare Schmitt, is owned by Johnny Toboada and is trained by Marcia Stortz. He has three wins in 11 starts, earnings of $122,994 and is coming off a third in a Sept. 24 optional claimer.
G.G. Ryder is by Chhaya Dance, out of the Storm Boot mare Stormy Gigi, was bred by Eagle Oak Ranch, is owned by Jerry Hollendorfer or George Todaro and is trained by Hollendorfer. The multiple grade winner has 11 wins in 29 starts, earnings of $458,627 and is coming off a fifth in a Sept. 10 allowance. He won this race last year.
He’s a Pepper is by Peppered Cat, out of the Crowning Storm mare Crown This Lady, was bred by owner and trainer Alex Paszkeicz. He has two wins in 19 starts, earnings of $82,972 and is coming off a second in an Oct. 2 optional claimer.
