AUBURN, Wash. (Aug. 10, 2017) – Gold Rush Dancer and fellow California-breds Papa Frank and Chief of Staff are entered in Sunday’s $200,000 Grade III Longacres Mile Handicap.
Gold Rush Dancer is by Private Gold, out of the In Excess mare Dances On Water, was bred by owner John Parker and is trained by Vann Belvoir. He has five wins in 17 starts, earnings of $400,613 and is coming off a third in the July 8 Bertrando.
Papa Frank is by Papa Clem, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Tialinga, was bred by Black Diamond Racing, is owned by Mary Tate and Shane Bailey and is trained by Tate. He has four wins in 29 starts, earnings of $66,310 and is coming off a fourth in the July 16 Mr. Ranier.
Chief of Staff is by Majestic Warrior, out of the Awesome Again mare Morning Jewel, was bred by Lou Neve, is owned by DeDomenico and Muddy Waters Stable and is trained by Mike Puhich. He has three wins in 23 starts, earnings of $272,874 and is coming off a ninth in the May 6 Churchill Downs Stakes.
