SANTA ROSA, Calif. (July 24, 2014) – Millionaire Halo Dolly and fellow California-breds Sing and Tell and Tiz Partners are entered in Sunday’s $50,000 Luther Burbank Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Rosa.
Halo Dolly is by Popular, out of the Comic Strip mare Spanish Halo, was bred by Rod and Lorraine Rodriguez, is owned by Hoefflin, Hoefflin, Hollendorfer, O’Farrell, Robin et al and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. She has 18 wins in 39 starts, earnings of $1,003,416 and is coming off a second in a June 7 allowance. She was third in this race last year.
Sing and Tell is by Alymagic, out of the Avenue of Flags mare Refreshing Song, was bred by Daehling Ranch, is owned by Joe Daehling and Holly Evans and is trained by Evans. She has six wins in 22 starts, earnings of $196,952 and is coming off a June 7 allowance win.
Tiz Partners is by Tizbud, out of the Mi Cielo mare Mi Mi Mine, was bred by Harris Farms, is owned by Browne Cattle Co., Harris Farms and William Branch and is trained by Monty Meier. She has three wins in 19 starts, earnings of $81,568 and is coming off a third in a July 4 allowance.
