SACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 8, 2015) – Odds-on favorite Handfull led all the way while winning Saturday’s $61,250 California Governor’s Cup Handicap for fillies and mares at Sacramento.
Handfull is a California-bred by Comic Strip, out of the Roman Dancer mare Honoree Lady, was bred by Dr. & Mrs. William Gray, is owned by Team Green, Hollendorfer and Nakkashian and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer.
She has 14 wins in 30 starts, earnings of $294,378 and was coming off a win in a June 13 optional claimer. Handfull ran the 1 1/16 in 1:44.96 and won by one-half length at odds of 3-5 in the four-horse field.
