ARCADIA, Calif. (Mar. 10, 2026) – Stakes winner Hey Jessie and fellow California-bred Catalina Cocktail are entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Grade II Santa Ana Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.
Hey Jessie is by Grazen, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Bea’s Cee, was bred by owner Sayjay Racing and is trained by Sean McCarthy. She has three wins in 10 starts, earnings of $187,788 and is coming off a second in the Jan. 17 Unusual Heat Turf Classic, presented by City National Bank.
Catalina Cocktail is an also-eligible by Catalina Cruiser, out of the Candy Ride mare Giant Screen, was bred by Fountain of Youth Breeding, is owned by Alan Mindell and is trained by John Sadler. She has three wins in 15 starts, earnings of $56,900 and is coming off a second in a Feb. 9 optional claimer.
