Kafwain has Pair of Winners

ARCADIA, Calif. (June 14, 2015) – California sire Kafwain was represented by two wire-to-wire winners on Sunday’s card at Santa Anita.

 

Fight Thru, a Gary Barber homebred three-year-old, earned his diploma in a $56,000 one mile maiden special event.

 

In just his fourth lifetime start the gelding captured the main track mile in 1:36 by over three lengths in wire-to-wire fashion. He now has earned $48,770 from his record of four starts, a win, one second and one third.

 

From the Ecton Park broodmare Astor Park, who was a stakes winner of over a $100,000 and she is the dam of three starters and three winners including Fight Thru.

 

Head South also by Kafwain went wire-to-wire in a down the hill Santa Anita allowance/optional claiming race to pick up his fourth 2015 win.

 

Overall this Tommy Town Thoroughbreds, LLC bred gelding has earned $190,945 from twelve lifetime starts.

 

Kafwain stood for $5,000 live foal in 2015. Kafwain is currently the eleventh ranked 2015 stallion in California with progeny earnings of $738,000 plus.
