Lovingier Exacta in Juvenile Maiden Race

ARCADIA, Calif. (May 1, 2026) – In the second 2-year-old race of the season at Santa Anita on Friday, CTBA Board of Directors member Terry Lovingier bred the first two finishers and three of the first four.

The fourth race, a maiden special weight for California-bred, saw Saluto power to a nine-length win, with King Kameha second. Both were bred by Lovingier, who is also a co-owner of them, as well as fourth-place finisher Cupid Cowboy in the field of seven.

Saluto is by Stay Thirsty, out of the Flatter mare Bella Ciao and is trained by Steve Knapp. King Kameha is by McKinzie, out of the Maclean’s Music mare Honolulu and is also trained by Knapp.
