ALBANY, Calif. (June 8, 2014) — Odds-on favorite Magic Spot led all the way to post a game win in Sunday’s $100,000 Campanile Stakes for Golden State Series eligible 3-year-old fillies at Golden Gate.
Magic Spot is by Papa Clem, out of the Generous mare Sweet Spot, was bred by Royalty Stables and BG Stables, is owned by BG Stables and Hector Palma and is trained by Palma.
She has four wins in eight starts, earnings of $179,060 and was coming off a win in a May 24 optional claimer.
Magic Spot ran the mile on turf in 1:36.36 and won by one-half length as the 7-10 favorite with Chati’s On Top second and Global Rule third in the field shortened to four by the scratch of Versye.
