FRESNO, Calif. (Oct. 9, 2014) – California stallion Mesa Thunder was represented by his first winner Thursday when Aloha Ke Akua won the third race at Fresno.
Aloha Ke Akua is out of the Flying Paster mare Brilliant Sunlight and was bred by owners Fran and Stan Hodge and trained by Victor Trujillo. She ran the 5 ½ furlongs in 1:06.65 and won by 5 ½ lengths at odds of 2-1 in the $12,500 maiden claimer.
Aloha Ke Akua, a 2-year-old filly, is the first starter for Mesa Thunder, a winning son of Sky Mesa. He stands at Paradise Road Ranch.
