LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 30, 2018) – California-bred graded winners Miss Sunset and Skye Diamonds are entered in Saturday’s $1 million Grade I Filly & Mare Sprint at seven furlongs, to be run as the third race at Churchill Downs.
Miss Sunset is by Into Mischief, out of the Trippi mare Tuscan Sunset, was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds and Alan Klein, is owned by Klein and Philip Lebherz and trained by Jeff Bonde. The Grade II winner has 10 wins in 19 starts, earnings of $891,895 and is coming off a fourth in the Oct. 6 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes. She is 15-1 on the morning line.
Multiple graded winner Skye Diamonds is by First Dude, out of the Johannesburg mare Exonerated, was bred by Dizney Double Diamond, is owned by Allen Racing, Bloom Racing Stable, Acker, Lindo, et al and is trained by Bill Spawr. She has 10 wins in 23 starts, earnings of $690,150 and is coming off a win in the Oct. 7 L.A. Woman. She is 10-1 on the morning line.
