Mucho Unusual Draws No. 8 Post Saturday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 29, 2020) — California-bred Mucho Unusual drew post position No. 8 in the $2 million Maker’s Mark Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf, carded as the seventh race on Saturday.

Mucho Unusual was bred by owner George Krikorian and trained by Tim Yakteen. Mucho Unusual has five wins in 16 starts, earnings of $702,725 and is coming off a win in the Sept. 26 Grade I Rodeo Drive. Flavian Prat is named to ride Mucho Unusual, who is 30-1 on the morning line.

Also in the race is Lady Prancealot, an Irish-bred daughter of California stallion Sir Prancealot, who also is the sire of Miss Amulet, an Irish-bred entered in the $1 million Grade I Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf in Friday.

California-bred Bulletproof One is the fourth also-eligible for the $1 million Grade I Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint, carded as the fifth race on Saturday. She was bred by Victory Rose Thoroughbreds and KMN Racing, is owned by Gary Barber, Wachtel Stable & Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and trained by Peter Miller. She has seven wins in 14 starts, earnings of $361,162 and is coming off a win in the Sept. 26 Unzip Me. Javier Castellano is named to ride Bulletproof One if she draws in.
