ARCADIA, Calif. (Feb. 19, 2020) – Grade II winner Mucho Unusual and fellow California-bred Super Patriot are entered in Saturday’s $200,000 Grade II Buena Vista Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.
Mucho Unusual is by Mucho Macho Man, out of the Unusual Heat mare Not Unusual, was bred by owner George Krikorian and is trained by Tim Yakteen. She has four wins in 11 starts, earnings of $445,382 and is coming off a second in the Dec. 28 American Oaks.
Super Patriot is by Unusual Heat, out of the Redattore mare Patriot C H, was bred by Harris Farms, is owned by Little Red Feather Racing, Peskoff or Salvatore, et al, and is trained by Richard Baltas. She has five wins in 26 starts, earnings of $293,454 and is coming off a second in the Jan. 20 Megahertz.
