PLEASANTON, Calif. (July 5, 2024) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Freeport Joe is the lone California-bred entered in Sunday’s $150,000 Pleasanton Mile Stakes at the Alameda County Fair.
Freeport Joe is by English Channel, out of the Sadler’s Wells mare Winds of March, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Larry Odbert and trained by Gloria Haley.
The graded stakes winner has nine wins in 29 starts, earnings of $345,552 and is coming off a seventh in the Apr. 27 San Francisco Mile.
