ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 29, 2022) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Govenor’s Party is the lone California-bred entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Grade III Tokyo City Cup Stakes at 1 1/2 miles at Santa Anita.
Govenor’s Party is by Govenor Charlie, out of the Zensational mare Spring Moon, was bred by Terry Lovingier and is owned by trainer Daniel Franko.
The $1,500 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has three wins in 26 starts, earnings of $120,626 and is coming off a second in a Sept. 17 optional claimer.
